ABOUT CHRIS STAMEY

Singer and producer best known as a member of the band The dB's, who released critically-acclaimed albums like Stands for Decibels. He is also the founder of the independent record label Car Records.

He was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and formed The dB's in New York City in 1978.

His 2005 solo album A Question Of Temperature featured indie rock veterans Yo La Tengo as his backing band.

He has been married.

He played bass for Alex Chilton , lead singer of The Box Tops and Big Star.
