ABOUT CHRISTIAN PONDELLA

Adventure sports photographer known for being a photographer for Powder Magazine and for his work being published in National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, ESPN Magazine, Outside, Men's Journal, Maxim, FHM, GQ, Climbing, and Outdoor Photographer. He is also a contributor for National Geographic Adventure.

In the year 1993, he graduated from Regis University with a BA in fine and studio arts.

His images have appeared in commercial campaigns for Red Bull, Patagonia, San Disk, Oakley, Yeti, Atomic, Eddie Bauer, and Clif Bar. He is an accomplished ice climber, rock climber, ski mountaineer, and extreme athlete. His award-winning images include skiing and climbing, base-jumping, downhill mountain biking, motocross, and wakeboarding, as well as distinctive portraits and travel and lifestyle photography.

He was born in Los Angeles, California.  He and his wife Julie have a son named Blaise.
