ABOUT CHRISTOPHER HOWELL
Pushcart Prize-winning poet and educator who published over eight books of poetry and served as the director of the Eastern Washington University Press.
He wrote stories for the U.S. Navy as a journalist during the Vietnam War.
His published works include Memory and Heaven, Sea Change, and Dreamless and Light's Ladder.
He published his daughter's poems posthumously in Slim Night of Recognition.
Another Oregon-born writer is Chuck Palahniuk , who wrote Invisible Monsters.
