ABOUT CHRISTY ALTOMARE

Successful musical theatre star and singer-songwriter best known for originating the title role in Broadway's Anastasia. She had previously made her Broadway debut playing Sophie in Mamma Mia!

She began performing at the ripe age of five in community theatre productions. She would later earn a BFA in musical theatre at the University of Cincinnati 's Conservatory of Music.

Her first major success was playing Wendla Bergmann in the Original 1st National Tour of Spring Awakening .

Originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, she would later settle in New York City. She has an older sister named Carrie.

Derek Klena played the Dmitry to her Anya in the Broadway musical adaptation of Anastasia.
