ABOUT CLAYTON MATTHEWS
A prolific American writer of erotic fiction and mystery novels, he published his first short story, Stone Cold Dead, in 1958. He published his first novel, A Rage of Desire, in 1960.
He began writing short stories for the Mike Shayne Mystery Magazine during the 1950s.
His more than thirty novels include The Promiscuous Doll, Dallas, and Death at the Border.
He and his second wife, author Patricia Matthews (Patty Brisco), collaborated on several novels between 1981 and 1995.
He and Barbara Faith were both American romance novelists.
