She is an author and has books published, including The Home Edit: A Guide to Organizing and Realizing Your House Goals in 2019 and The Home Edit Life: The No-Guilt Guide to Owning What You Want and Organizing Everything in 2020. In 2021, she released The Home Edit Workbook: Prompts, Activities, and Gold Stars to Help You Contain the Chaos.

She went to school in New York. She lives in Nashville. She is married to a man named John and they have a son and daughter named Stella and Sutton Shrearer.
