She had the misfortune of marrying a homosexual man at a time when homosexuality was punishable by law.
She married Oscar Wilde , and they had two sons, Cyril and Vyvyan.
Although she never divorced Oscar Wilde , she did change her family's name to Holland during his trial to dissociate from him.
