Became known as the campaign manager of businessman Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. He has also worked as a political commentator at CNN.
He worked as a lobbyist for several campaigns prior to joining Donald Trump's campaign.
He ran for office as a write-in candidate in the Republican primary in 1994 but lost to Democrat Thomas A. Golden Jr.
He married Alison Lewandowski in 2005. They have four children together.
He was fired as Trump's campaign manager in June 2016 after a public altercation with a reporter.
