6'8" goalkeeper who made his English Premier League debut with Manchester City FC in 2012 after spending six seasons with Politehnica Timisoara.

He began his professional career with CS Aerostar Bacau in 2003.

He first joined Romania's national squad in 2008.

He was born to deaf parents in Bacau, Romania.

He first became Joe Hart 's back-up while playing on loan for Manchester City FC in 2011.
