ABOUT COURTLAND ALLEN

Known for being the co-founder of Indie Hackers, a platform for entrepreneurs to share tips about their profitable businesses and side projects. His twin brother Channing was the other founder. The company was acquired by Stripe in the year 2017, and he stayed onboard at Stripe and continued to pursue his vision.

He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the year 2009 with a degree in computer science prior to starting his professional career as an entrepreneur. He worked on multiple entrepreneurial endeavors while he was still in college.

He initially launched Indie Hackers by leveraging Hacker News.  He later launched a podcast to speak with founders about their journeys and assorted business models. He spoke on the main stage at the Craft + Commerce conference in the year 2018.

His mother was also an entrepreneur. She launched a business that sold computer equipment. After college, he moved to the Silicon Valley in Northern California to pursue his entrepreneurial projects.

In November of 2020, he appeared as a guest on an episode of "This Week In Startups," which is a program hosted by Jason Calacanis .
