Founder of Craigslist who took the classifieds out of the newspaper and put them on the web.

He graduated Case Western Reserve University with a Master's degree in Science.

He focused on Craigslist's customer service following the site's success, concerning himself especially with spammers and scammers.

His father died not long after his bar mitzvah, leaving his mother Joyce to raise him and his brother on her own.

He and Jimmy Wales ran their websites as non-profit charities.
