She grew up in New York City into an acting family.

She worked as an art production assistant before her death. Her brother, Kieran Culkin has stated that her death was the worst thing that has ever happened to his family.

She had six siblings: Shane, Macaulay , Kieran , Quinn, Christian, and Rory .

Her brother Rory played memorable roles in the movies Signs and You Can Count on Me.
