ABOUT DAN ALTAVILLA

Former fifth rounder that was originally drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 2014. Since then, he has pitched within the San Diego Padres , Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox organizations. In 2024, he was selected to play for Team USA during the WBSC Premier12 tournament in Tokyo, Japan.

He initially began his professional baseball career with the Everett AquaSox. After 14 appearances, he was then promoted to the Bakersfield Blaze.

During his final season at Mercyhurst University, he collected a single-season program record 129 strikeouts. He's also the highest drafted player in Mercyhurst history.

He lives along with his wife, Katherine, and their children. He is a father of two.

He was selected during the 2014 MLB Draft just like Carlos Rodón .
