ABOUT DANIEL J. LAYTON
Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court from 1933 to 1945. He was known for being aggressive, combative, and hostile during proceedings.
He studied and was a baseball pitcher at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from its Law School.
During his time on the Supreme Court, he wrote 221 of 511 opinions brought on by Delaware's law courts.
His father was U.S. Representative Caleb R. Layton.
He was a Delaware Attorney General like Beau Biden .
