Most well known as the mother of Myles Truitt , one of the young stars of the BET miniseries The New Edition Story.

She was unhappy at her job for about twelve weeks before she finally sent in her resignation letter. The same day that she left her job, she got the call that Myles was asked to audition for The New Edition Story.

She manages the blog The Stage Mom Thing, where she has imparted experience and advice about mothering a child actor.

She is mother to three boys: Myles, Chase, and Blazer.

Her son starred in The New Edition Story alongside Stranger Things' Caleb McLaughlin .
