ABOUT DANNY JANSEN

Professional back catcher that was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays during the 16th round of the 2013 Major League Draft. Following the 2018 minor league season, he was named one of the Blue Jays' top 100 MLB prospects. A few years later, he played for the Blue Jays during the 2022 American League Division Series.

He was originally drafted out of Appleton West High School in Appleton, Wisconsin. Had he not been drafted, he planned on playing college baseball at Jacksonville University.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Kansas City Royals on August 13, 2018. His team lost the game 3-1.

Although he was born in the Elmhurst, Illinois area he grew up living with his family in Appleton, Wisconsin. His wife gave birth to their first child in October of 2022, a boy named Miles.

He was selected during the 2013 MLB Draft just like Jon Gray and Kris Bryant .
