ABOUT DAPHNE MAYO
Australian artist and sculptor who made the tympanum of Brisbane City Hall, as well as The Sir William Glasgow Memorial.
She studied in Brisbane at St. Margaret's Anglican Girls School and received a Diploma in Art Craftsmanship from the Brisbane Central Technical College.
Despite being a petite woman, she created many physically demanding works.
Her parents raised her in Balmain, Sydney.
She and Mark Beretta are both from Australia.
