ABOUT DARBY CRASH

Co-founder of the punk band The Germs, the group that has released singles like "Forming." The band was captured in the 1981 film The Decline of Western Civilization. The Germs gained wide fame and acclaim after his death.

He grew up living with his mother, who was verbally abusive to him.

He killed himself by intentionally overdosing on heroin, one day before John Lennon was killed. His death is often overshadowed by the Beatles star.

His older brother died of a drug overdose when he was very young.

He was portrayed by Shane West in the film What We Do is Secret.
