ABOUT DARREN JORDON

British journalist known for his work with Al-Jazeera English. He is also a former officer of the Jamaica Defence Force.

He trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and became an officer in the Jamaica Regiment of the British Army.

Before his work with Al-Jazeera, he was a presenter for BBC News One.

His parents were Jamaican immigrants living in London, and he was raised in the West Indies.

He presented on the show Breakfast alongside Sophie Raworth .
