ABOUT DASUN SHANAKA

Professional all-arounder best known for his right-arm medium bowling style. He is a member of the Chittagong Vikings and the Dambulla Giants cricket teams. He has also made appearances as a member of the Sri Lankan men's national team.

Prior to his cricket career, he attended St. Peters College in Negombo, Sri Lanka. He later signed his first professional cricket contract in 2011 to play for the Sinhalese Sports Club.

He made his official international debut for Sri Lanka playing Pakistan in July 2015. A few years later in September 2019, he was named the Sri Lankan international team captain. He has been a member of 7 teams throughout his professional career.

He and his wife, Chewanthi, were married in 2020. They first started dating in 2017.

He is a professional all-arounder just like Ravindra Jadeja and Ben Stokes .
