ABOUT DAVE SIMS
Philadelphia-born sportscaster best known as the play-by-play man for Seattle Mariners television broadcasts. He is also a football broadcaster who became a fixture on Westwood One's Sunday Night Football in 2006.
He was a catcher for the Bethany College Bison and played on the school's varsity football team. He got his start in sports media as a sportswriter for the New York Daily News.
He called perfect games pitched by Philip Humber and Felix Hernandez , the latter of which was the first perfect game in Mariners history.
He has two sons with his wife Abby.
He has served as the co-host of the radio show Basketball and Beyond with Coach K along with college basketball coaching legend Mike Krzyzewski .
