ABOUT DAVE SPIKEY
Comedian, writer, and actor who is known for his work throughout the British television industry. Between 2003 and 2009, he released three live stand-up specials: Overnight Success Tour, Living the Dream, and The Best Medicine Tour.
He spent his early professional career working as a biomedical scientist at the Bolton General Hospital in Farnworth, Lancashire, England. He gained his first performance experience as a pantomime with similarly-interested co-workers in the Bolton Health Performers troupe.
In 2002, he was nominated for the British Comedy Award for Best Newcomer. This came in recognition for his co-writing, starring in, and producing the sitcom Phoenix Nights.
He was born and raised in Farnworth, Bolton, Lancashire, England.
He was nominated at the 2002 British Comedy Awards alongside Ricky Gervais , who won the award for Best Comedy Actor.
