David Bell
ABOUT DAVID BELL
Infielder who played for seven MLB teams from 1995 to 2006, and began managing at the MLB level as a third base coach for the Chicago Cubs in 2013. He managed the Cincinnati Reds from 2019 until 2024.
He led Moeller High School to a state championship when he was a junior.
He's forever linked to a play in the 2002 NLCS, in which he scored the winning run as J.T. Snow heroically swooped a 3-year-old bat boy off of home plate.
His brother Mike, his father Buddy, and his grandfather Gus all played in the MLB.
He and his grandfather, Gus Bell , became the first grandfather-grandson duo to both hit for the cycle in the MLB.
