ABOUT DAVID COVERDALE
Former lead singer of the band Deep Purple and who also performed with the hard rock band Whitesnake. He played with Deep Purple from 1973 until 1976. He has released over 10 studio albums with Whitesnake.
He was a vocalist for The Government from 1968 to 1972 and the Fabulosa Brothers from 1972 to 1973.
He is a dual citizen of the US and the UK. He has released 3 solo albums, including Into the Light from 2000.
He married Julia in 1974 and had a daughter, Jessica, who was born in 1978; he was married to actress Tawny Kitaen from 1989 to 1991.
He was once considered for the vocalist position for the band Black Sabbath when Ronnie James Dio left, but Coverdale declined.
