He once received a Best Screenplay nomination at the Filmfare Awards for his film, Parzania.
Originally born in Spokane, he was raised in Auburn, Washington. His mother is Christian Devout author Anita Corrine Donihue.
He received much praise from The New York Times, where writer Leslie Gelb once worked.
