ABOUT DAVID ROHL
Known for works such as A Test of Time and Pharaohs and Kings: A Biblical Quest, this historian and prominent Egyptologist aroused controversy by proposing revisions to the traditionally accepted chronology of events in Ancient Egypt.
Before studying Ancient History and Egyptology at the University of London, he earned a photography degree from the University of Manchester and founded and performed with rock bands called Ankh and Mandalaband.
Beginning in the mid-1980s, he edited the Journal of the Ancient Chronology Forum and headed the Institute for the Study of Interdisciplinary Sciences.
He was born and raised in England, and he later settled in Spain. His lifelong interest in all things Egyptian was inspired by a childhood visit to Egypt.
He and American writer Barbara Mertz both earned degrees in Egyptology and published books on the topic of Ancient Egypt.
