Accomplished screenwriter, who was best known for his work on the acclaimed film, The King's Speech , for which he received both the Academy Award and the BAFTA for Best Original Screenplay.
In 1959, he graduated from Cornell University.
He believed his stutter to be the result of trauma from the war, and it inspired his film, The King's Speech. He wrote over 15 movies throughout his career.
