ABOUT DAVID SHOENBERG

British physicist who was considered a leading figure in the study of low-temperature physics. He served as a Professor of Physics at Cambridge University from 1973 to 1978 and later became a Professor Emeritus.

He earned his doctorate from Trinity College, Cambridge in 1935.

He was the recipient of prestigious honors like the Hughes Medal and the Fritz London Memorial Prize for Low-Temperature Physics.

He married Catherine Felicitee Fischmann, with whom he had two daughters and a son, in 1940.
