ABOUT DAVID VILLAR

Professional third baseman that was originally drafted by the San Francisco Giants during the 11th round of the 2018 Major League Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at the University of South Florida .

He initially began his professional career playing for the AZL Giants rookie affiliate team. He was later sent to the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes.

He hit a career-high 27 home runs during the 2022 regular season. He also recorded a career-high 82 runs batted in during the 2022 regular season. He is a Marvel fan, as documented in a December 2021 Instagram post.

Although he was born in Atlanta, he grew up living with his family in Pembroke Pines, Florida. He is the oldest of two siblings.

He played alongside Darin Ruf and Evan Longoria during his MLB debut.
