Dean Smith

ABOUT DEAN SMITH

Professional head coach and former center-back. During his professional career, he played for five teams between the years of 1989 and 2005. He was given his first career head coaching job in July 2009 as a member of the Walsall Football Club staff.

He was first signed by the Walsall Football Club in 1989.

He recorded over 566 career appearances before eventually retiring in 2005 after playing a season for the Port Vale Football Club.

He lives with his wife and their two children.

He coached Grant Hanley as a member of the Norwich City F.C. coaching staff in 2021.
