ABOUT DENZEL CLARKE

Former MLB fourth rounder that was taken by the Oakland Athletics during the 2021 major league draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at California State University, Northridge . He primarily plays the position of center field.

As a high school student, he attended the Everest Academy in Thornhill, Canada. Following his senior season, he was drafted by the New York Mets .

In 2021, he became the first baseball player in Cal State-Northridge program history to be named 'Big West Defensive Player of the Year.' He also made program history after becoming the first person to hit an inside-the-park home run during the 21st century.

He was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. His cousin, Josh Naylor , is also a professional baseball player.

He primarily plays the position of center field just like Cedric Mullins .
