Defensive tackle named a consensus All-American in 2011 for Penn State University. He was drafted 53rd overall by the Bengals in 2012.

He earned Lineman-of-the-Year honors his senior season with 18 tackles for a loss at Howard high School of Technology.

He was named both Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and Defensive Lineman of the Year his senior season at Penn State.

He has a daughter named Leah Sari .

He joined Robert Griffin III as a Consensus All-American selection in 2011.
