Comic strip artist who became famous for his controversial political cartoons.
He was just 12 when a one-dollar sale to the New York Mirror inspired his cartoon career.
In both 1964 and 1966, he won the National Cartoonist Society Advertising and Illustration Award.
His father, Dick Hodgins Sr. was also a cartoonist.
He studied at New York's School of Visual Arts, where actor Jared Leto would later attend.
