Professional catcher that was originally signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2018. A few years later, he was named one of the Dodgers' top 10 MLB prospects. His baseball fame has earned him a strong following on his DCarty_17 Twitter account.

He initially began his career playing for the DSL Dodgers-Bautista. He was later sent to the AZL Dodgers-Mota.

He recorded new career-highs in hits, home runs, doubles, runs batted in, and total bases during the 2022 minor league season. Following that season, he was named the Dodgers' number-one MLB prospect.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Maracay, Venezuela.

He shares a September 7th birthday with Donovan Mitchell .
