Light middleweight fighter who was a gold medalist at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich.
He was a very talented youth boxer.
When fighting internationally, he represented West Germany.
He was born in Gliwice, Poland.
He is one of a handful of athletes to win an Olympic gold medal while representing West Germany, along with stars such as Steffi Graf .
