Widely regarded as one of Greece's greatest soccer players; nicknamed The Kid; known as a striker and attacking midfielder.
He gained experience with Panionios during his youth career from 1977 until 1979.
He served as captain for the Greek national team at the 1994 FIFA World Cup.
His family was residing in Athens when he was born.
He and Dinos Kouis played together on the Greek national team.
