ABOUT D'JALMA GARNIER

Musician known for his distinctive Cajun and Creole sound. He didn't hesitate to branch out from his roots.

He studied under the legendary Creole fiddler Canray Fontenot.

He wrote a 2009 method book designed to introduce the public to masters of Louisiana Creole fiddle music.

His grandfather D'Jalma Thomas Garnier was said to have taught the great Louis Armstrong . His brother was Bob Dylan 's bandleader and also worked as bass player for the Neverending Tour Band.

He enjoyed collaborating with poets, performing and recording with Hedwig Gorski and Allen Ginsberg .
