ABOUT DODIE STEVENS

Chicago-born singer most famous for her hit 1959 single "Pink Shoe Laces," released when she was thirteen years old. She had a few minor hits in the 60's and later became a backup singer for artists like Loretta Lynn .

She recorded her first single, "Merry-Go Merry-Go Round," at eight years old in 1954.

At the height of her popularity, she took film roles like that of Nita Stringer in 1959's Hound-Dog Man.

She was born Geraldine Ann Pasquale and got married at age sixteen. She sings with her daughter at Doo Wop concerts nationwide.

She toured with singer Fabian in the 90's and appeared on the PBS television special At The Drive-In, hosted by Fabian.
