ABOUT DON JAMES
Washington Huskies football head coach for nearly two decades. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1997.
At the University of Kansas, he earned his master's degree in education.
His 1991 Huskies team finished the season a perfect 12-0 and won Washington's first ever national championship.
He had children Jeff, Jill, and Jeni with his high school sweetheart, Carol Hobbler, whom he married in 1952. He died of pancreatic cancer.
He coached the great Jack Lambert at Kent State University.
