ABOUT DON MINCHER

First baseman who was the only major leaguer to play with both Washington Senators franchises, on three professional teams.

He came to the Senators just as owner Calvin Griffith was preparing to move the franchise to Minnesota.

He was on the Washington Senators team that moved to Minnesota and became the Twins, then came back to the second incarnation of the Senators that became the Texas Rangers.

He was born in Huntsville, Alabama.

He broke into the majors in 1960, backing up Harmon Killebrew .
