Don Whittington
ABOUT DON WHITTINGTON
Race car driver, businessman, and race car team owner. He won the 1979 24 Hours of Le Mans.
He delivered newspapers throughout high school.
He owned the Blue Thunder Racing Team, along with Randy Lanier and Marty Hinze.
He grew up in Lubbock, Texas, with his brother Bill Whittington , who helped him win the 1979 24 Hours of Le Mans with Klaus Ludwig.
He and Dale Earnhardt were both NASCAR drivers.
