ABOUT DONALD JACK
A Canadian novelist and playwright, he is most famous for his Bandy Papers book series, which focuses on the comic adventures of fighter pilot Bartholomew Bandy. His plays for stage and radio include The Canvas Barricade (1961) and Three Cheers for Me (1972).
He attended Marr College and subsequently served in the Royal Air Force during World War II.
His 1962 play, Exit Muttering, was originally performed at the Grenville Street Playhouse.
He was born in England. In 1964, he became a Canadian citizen.
He wrote plays for CBC radio. Also associated with CBC, actress Cynthia Dale appeared in the popular drama, Street Legal.
