ABOUT DONALD JUSTICE
American poet and professor known for The Summer Anniversaries, Departures, and other award-winning poetry collections. He received the Pulitzer Prize for a 1980 collection entitled Selected Poems.
He received degrees from the University of Miami, the University of North Carolina, and the University of Iowa.
He served as Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets from 1997 until 2003.
He was born in Miami, Florida. He later taught at Princeton University, the University of Virginia, and Syracuse University, among other schools.
