ABOUT DONALD ELISE WATKINS

American born actor best known for his role as Rumsey Brooks in the 2021 Amazon Prime mini-series The Underground Railroad. He has also acted in television shows such as NCIS: New Orleans and Preacher . In 2022, he was cast for the role of Kunle in Amazon Prime film Emergency.

He began his professional acting career in 2012. He made his acting debut in the film Pitch Perfect 2 .

The 2021 mini-series Underground Railroad won a Golden Globe for Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. In addition to winning a Golden Globe award, the mini-series also received seven Emmy nominations.

He is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina. He now lives with his son in Atlanta, Georgia.

He co-starred in the movie 22 Jump Street alongside Ice Cube and Channing Tatum .
