ABOUT DOUG FRIEDMAN

Left winger who made his NHL debut in 1997 with the Edmonton Oilers and later played for the Nashville Predators.

He played college hockey at Boston University.

He last played professionally in 2000-2001 for the AHL's Worcester IceCats.

He was born in Greenwich, Connecticut and grew up in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

Right winger Bill Guerin played alongside him on the Oilers.
