ABOUT DRAKE POWELL

Former McDonalds All-American that played college basketball at the University of North Carolina for just one season before entering the 2025 NBA Draft. He was eventually drafted as a first round pick by the Atlanta Hawks and then traded to the Brooklyn Nets during a draft-and-swap. He primarily plays the position of shooting guard and small forward.

He is a graduate of Northwood High School. At the time, he was ranked a five-star recruit.

He was a long-time member of Chris Paul s CP3 AAU basketball team. Other notable CP3 alumi are Coby White and Collin Sexton ..

He is one of three siblings. His father also played college sports at UNC.

He was coached by Hubert Davis while at UNC.
