Talented cartoonist and director. In 1961, he became the first non-American to win the Oscar for Best Animated Short.
He was born in the town of Bileca.
He was one of the founders of Zagreb Film, a worldwide film production company.
He died near Zagreb without ever marrying.
He, like Chris Wedge , won an Oscar for Best Animated Short.
