Pastor, theologian, writer, Instagram star, online content creator, social media personality, and author who posts a wide assortment of religious content and clips from sermons to his social media pages. His edrenekivitz Instagram page has grown a following of more than 490,000.

He studied at both the Baptist Theological College of São Paulo and Methodist University of São Paulo.

As an evangelical leader, he has released more than seven books. His YouTube video "Ed René Kivitz - TALMIDIM 001: Reflexões Diárias" garnered more than 350,000 views in total.

He married Silvia Kivitz and had children Kivitz and Fernanda Jorge Kivitz.

In a 2019 interview, he spoke about Jair Bolsonaro using religious ties in political speech.
