ABOUT EDAN PORTNOY

Hip-hop artist better known as Edan. He released his first solo studio album, "Primitive Plus," in 2002. In 2005, he released his second solo studio album, "Beauty and the Beat."

In high school, he bought his first turntables and started mixing beats.

He entered Berklee College of Music but dropped out to focus on music full-time.

He is Jewish. He was born to middle-class immigrant parents.

During the 2010s, he has collaborated with artists including Cut Chemist, Your Old Droog and Homeboy Sandman .
