ABOUT EDDIE KENDRICKS
Co-founder of the Motown singing quintet, The Temptations, who sang lead vocals on "The Way You Do The Things You Do" and "Just My Imagination." The latter of those songs has accumulated over 90 million streams on Spotify.
He started The Temptations with his best friend, Paul Williams , whom he met in a church choir in the late 1940s.
He had a successful solo career, with several singles becoming staples in the emerging disco scene, including "Keep on Truckin'," which became a #1 hit. In 1977, he released his 9th album, Slick.
He was born in Union Springs, Alabama, and was one of five children of Johnny and Lee Bell Kendrick.
He was at one point romantically interested in singer Diana Ross .
